In order to support this growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in Functional and Automation testing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and stories, ensuring testing efforts are aligned with end user perspectives.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts that encompass the end user experience.
• Perform thorough Functional and regression testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and potential user experience issues, utilising JIRA to track and manage defects effectively.
• Utilize Agile methodologies to seamlessly integrate QA practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
• Leveraging bilingual capabilities (Japanese and English) to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and users in both languages.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in Japanese and English, especially in written communication, to ensure accurate and clear documentation of testing processes and results.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, promoting a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong focus on end user perspectives and regression testing.
• Proficiency in using JIRA for defect tracking and Agile project management.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and the role of QA within an Agile team.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Japanese and English, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. [JLPT certification level of N2 or above.]
• Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Understanding of OTA (Online Travel Agency) and the Japanese Food & Beverage industry is a plus.
• Automation skills in Java and Python are desirable.
